Viewing or Modifying Product Details
The Product Details option lets you view and edit the general information of the Product along with assigning Barcodes to the Product. Some parameters are pre-defined by the suppliers on the Wholesaler Product and Options menus.
To view or modify the Product general details:
1. In the RPM menu, click Defaults and then click Products.
2. Search for the Product that you wish to view or modify and then select the Product.
3. Select Product Details. The Product Details dialogue is displayed.
4. View the Product details and modify the information, if required:

| UPI | The Unique Product Identifier of the Product. This field is non-editable. |
| Description | The long description of the Product as shown on the Stock Card. |
| Short Description | The short description of the Product. |
| Memo | The additional information of the Product. |
| Barcodes | The barcodes of the Product.
You can add or delete the barcodes by using right-click option and select Add Barcode or Delete Barcodes.

| Department | The Department of the Product. |
| Sub-Department | The Sub Department of the Product. |
| Manufacturer | The manufacturer of the Product. |
| Date Created | The date when the Product record was created. This field is non-editable. |
| Date Modified | The date when the Product record was modified. This field is non-editable. |
| GST Buy | The GST percentage applied for buying the Product. |
| GST Sell | The GST percentage applied for selling the Product. |

| Update Barcodes | If selected, the Supplier Price File updates will update the barcode information on this Product. |
| Update GST | If selected, the Supplier Price File updates will update the GST of this Product. |
| Update Description | If selected, the Supplier Price File updates will update the description of the Product to match what the Supplier has sent through. |
| Update Manufacturer | If selected, the manufacturer details are updated by the Supplier price file.
NOTE As the manufacturer information may change, we recommend that your group has this option deselected and maintains this information from RPM. |
5. Select OK, to save changes.
The modified Product details will be updated in the Product menu.
