Services Australia have extended the 13th of March deadline for moving to PBS Online web services claiming. Pharmacies who have an up-to-date Medicare PKI certificate and an up-to-date NASH PKI certificate will continue to claim as per normal after this date.
This extension will allow pharmacies more time to complete the PRODA account registration, add services to your PRODA account and register your B2B devices. Corum will advise you when you can register your B2B devices.
Whilst we do not have a new deadline date, we continue to advise all pharmacies to create their organisation’s PRODA account, and link PBS online and HPOS services as soon as possible to avoid disruptions in the future.
If you haven’t already completed the steps required, please keep reading to find out what you’ll need to do to prepare for this transition.
Requirements that need to be completed as soon as possible:
1. Register for an individual PRODA Account.
All pharmacists will need to complete this step to access health provider services using PRODA. For instruction on how to do this, please see the following webpage: How to register for an individual PRODA account – Services Australia
2. Register the Pharmacy organisation for web services.
Only the owner or authorised contact for the business can register the business. For instruction on how to do this, please see the following webpage: How to register an organisation in PRODA – Services Australia
3. Add services to your PRODA account such as PBS online and HPOS.
You’ll need to add services to your PRODA account to access services such as AIR, PBS Online and Patient Verification (Find a patient).
For instruction on how to do this, please see the following webpage: Adding and linking to health service providers – Services Australia
For instructions on how to add PBS Online to your services, please see our new step-by-step video guide below:
