Did you know that passwords less than 8 characters long can be brute-forced in less than a day? Using current computing power, passwords that are less than eight characters long can be brute-forced in less than a day – this includes passwords using upper case, lower case and special characters! The best way to create a secure password is to use a series of unrelated words joined together.

Corum recommends creating a longer password using a series of 4-6 unrelated words as your master password for a password manager. Then use the password manager to create and save unique passwords for your favourite websites and internet services such as email and banking.
