Did you know you that you can identify phishing emails by paying close attention to the sender’s email address?

Cyber Criminals will send an email to you pretending to be someone or an organisation you know to entice you to click onto a link or open an attachment.

See below for an example of a Cyber Criminal trying to disguise themselves as MyGov. If you look closely at their email address, you can see that the sender is not using a MyGov email.

To help protect yourself from phishing emails, carefully check the sender’s email address to ensure that they come from a legitimate organisation or person.
