Pharmacy Details & PACKMAN Defaults

The Default page of the PACKMAN Setup screen is where you can enter and edit your pharmacy’s details.

The information about your pharmacy includes:

  • Name
  • Address
  • Approval number
  • Registration number

PACKMAN defaults that will apply to all PACKMAN profiles can be created on this screen. When creating a new profile, these defaults are applied; however, they can be overridden for each individual profile.

Default settings can be created for the following:

  • Running Mode (Integrated with SUREfire Dispensing & LOTS Dispense)
  • Dosage Times -Meal headings
  • Pack TypeDirection
  • Print frequency
  • 7-Day Unit Dose (Expiry –Days from Printing)
  • Show Generic equivalent on 7-Day Unit Dose Header Card

To enter pharmacy’s details & defaults:

From the Options menu, choose Module Setup. The PACKMAN setup screen is displayed.

Select the Defaults tab.

Under Pharmacy heading, enter pharmacy’s details.

Under Running Mode heading, choose Integrated with SUREfire Dispensing check box if SUREfire Dispensing installed on the computer.

Under Dosage Times heading, enter the meal headings required for each heading.

For example:

1 B’FAST WEEK 1 3 DINNER WEEK 3
2 LUNCH WEEK 2 4 B’TIME WEEK 4

NB: The entries in the second box will apply to Medico pak system only and it will be optional.

Under Pack Type & Description heading, choose the required Pack Type and Description as the defaults.

Choose either Up or Down from the Direction list.

The direction refers to the layout on the foil of the days. That is, a direction of up will print the days so that theyare printed up the page (with the later day first), whilea direction of down will print the days down the page(with the later day first).

The next profile createdwill use the new direction. However, it can be override on each individual profile.

Choose either 7, 14or 28 from the Frequency list.

The frequency refers to how often the foils will beprinted, in terms of days.The next profile created will use the new printfrequency. However, it can be override on eachindividual profile.

Printing Tab

The printing page of PACKMAN Setup screen is where you can set defaults for printing when you completed the profileand selected to print.

Under Automatic Print heading, select check boxes of the items require to print.

Under Text Formatting, select the option describing how you want text to be treated when printing the drugs on the foils.

Under PRN & Non-Packed Order Form, enter Message 1 & 2 forPRN and Non-packed order form if required.

Under Preferences heading, select the corresponding check boxes of the behaviours you require.

Under File Locations heading, click Browse to select the file locations for eUpdate. This file location is required for the following:

  • Drug Update
  • Drug Images Update
  • Program Upgrade
