Table of Contents
The right side of a work area is called the reference panel. It displays information that is relevant to the current activity.
PACKMAN Reference Panel #
The PACKMAN reference panel shows a summary of the selected patient’s details, profiles and medication history.
The table below lists the command buttons on the reference panel and describes their use. Use the Alt key plus the underlined letter on the button. (i.e. Alt + i to activate the details screen.)
Details | Select Details to view the current patient’s record and personal details. |

Allergies | Select Allergies to view the current patient’s allergies and medical conditions (where entered). |
Actions (F2) | Select Actions and choose the required function from the drop-down menu. Using this button, you can select the option to add a new medication to an existing profile, edit a profile, delete a profile, delete a selected medication from a profile and other functions. |
Printing (F3) | Select and then choose the print option for the current profile from the drop-down menu. |
< < | Enlarges the reference panel. Choose > > to return to the previous work area view. |
Allergy checking is not currently available in the PACKMAN module. Use caution when distributing drugs to patients.
Integrated Systems #
If PACKMAN is integrated with Healthlinks Dispensing, the Reference Panel displays an extra panel with the current patient’s dispensing history.
There are also additional command buttons. These are described in the table below.
View | Select View to view the full details of the selected prescription. |

Refresh (F5) | Select Refresh to update the patient’s history and display any prescriptions dispensed since the patient was first selected in PACKMAN. |
