The Companion Sales menu in RPM lets you add or edit companion items to recommend in conjunction with the sale Product.
The Edit Companion Sales enables you to update the settings of the companion sales. It enables you to edit the previously defined companion sales, add new companion sales and also enables you to add products to it.
To modify companion sales:
1. In the RPM menu, click Product File Management and then click Companion Sales.The Companion Sales screen is displayed.
NOTE
Before you add products, you need to edit the settings for companion sales.
2. Select Edit Companion Sales. The Edit Companion Sales dialogue is displayed.
The Edit Companion Sales is divided into two section:
- Companion Sales: The top section displays the Companion Sales information such as Companion Sale Name, Settings and Companion Text. You can create new companion sale and add products to it using Add Products from Companion items. You can also Include Inactive Companion Sales and Exclude Inactive Companion Sales in the left pane or to generate reports.
- Companion Items: The bottom section displays the list of Companion Items under the selected companion sale from the left pane. It enables you to add the Product to new companion sales.
3. Select New and enter the following information.

Companion Sale Name | The name of companion sale. By default New Companion Sale is displayed. You can change it to the name of new companion sale. |
Is Active | The Is Active if selected, will make companion sales active and will be sent to LOTS during next transfer. |
Prompt | The companion sale prompt to appears at POS or at Dispense. |
Companion Text | The recommended text will be displayed on customer screen while selling the companion items. The two commands used are:

4. On the Companion Item section, select Add Product to add items to the companion sale. The Select Product dialogue is displayed.
5. Select the Product(s) from the list and select OK.The products will be displayed in the Companion Items section.
6. Select Save Changes and Exit. The Companion Sales screen is displayed.
NOTE
If you wish to add some more Product to companion sale, Instead of creating a new companion sale you can add the products to already created Companion sales.
7. In the Companion Sales screen, select Add Product.The Add Companion Sale Products dialogue is displayed.
8. Select Companion Sale Name from the drop-down list.
9. Select Zone Name or Store Name and select either or both the check boxes for Prompt at POS or Prompt at Dispense.
10. Select Continue. The Select Products dialogue is displayed.
11. Select products and select OK.
12. On the confirmation message, select Yes.
The companion sales is displayed under Companion Sales section along with Description, UPI, Barcode, Zone, Store, Department, Sub Department, etc. and the products are displayed under Companion Items section along with description, UPI, Barcode, Department and Sub Department.
