To satisfy security and auditing requirements, you will need to log in to perform various functions when ePrescribing is enabled. To minimise workflow changes, this can be done as part of the normal workflow, for example when you dispense a script or access a function, or up front from the main menu.
The Log In screen is displayed:
- When you use a function where the user must be known, but nobody is logged in.
- When you use a function that the current user does not have permission for.
- When a change of user is implied (e.g. changing the Dispenser when entering a new script).
- If the person logged in has been inactive for more than the password inactivity timeout period. The default is 10 minutes, but you can change this to a shorter or longer time to suit your pharmacy. See Password Settings on page 10 for details.
- If you log in explicitly from the main menu using Function → Log In.
TIP
The keyboard shortcut to log in is Shift+Ctrl+I (the letter “i” for “in”).
