The Label Preview displays the name of the item prescribed and the item dispensed (if different), its dosage and price, directions of use, name of the patient and prescriber, date prescribed and the number of repeats (if any).
Any selections made or information entered on the Dispense Screen will be reflected immediately in the label preview. This also includes the expanded directions with every keystroke in the Directions field.
Multiple Labels for Long Directions
Directions that are too long to fit onto a single medicine label automatically flow onto further labels. The Label Preview indicates the number of labels required and lets you choose which one to display. You can use either the mouse or keyboard to navigate between the labels.
For the keyboard actions:
- Press Alt+Left to display the previous label, if there is one.
- Press Alt+Right to display the next label, if there is one.
