The Local Queue is only shown in Dispense, on a tab in the Script Queue panel. It is used when you select multiple scripts in Patient History or the Script Organiser and then choose an action to apply to all of them. The first script is actioned immediately, and the others are listed in the Local Queue.
When there are scripts in the Local Queue waiting to be actioned, the Dispensed screen shows a Start Next button where you would normally see Same Patient.
- To action the next script in the Local Queue, choose Start Next.
- To work with a different script, for instance to dispense a script urgently, choose New Patient then proceed with that script as normal. When you complete that script, the next script in the Local Queue will be actioned automatically.
To clear the local queue at any time, on the Local Queue tab, choose Clear.
Note
If you action further scripts while there are others in the Local Queue, they are added to the end.
