If your Corum Clear Dispense system is integrated with LOTS POS, you can now dispense OTCs and other non drug products from the LOTS POS database.
To dispense an OTC or other non drug product:
1. At Item Prescribed, type part of the name of the product you want to dispense.
Matches from the dispensing database are displayed.
2. If there is no suitable match from the dispensing database, tick the Search OTC Items checkbox (shown at the top right of the drop down).
Matches from the LOTS POS database are displayed.
3. Select the required product, then continue entering the details to be recorded in patient history.
Price defaults to the current LOTS selling price.
Note that form based “super sigs” or “smart sigs” will not work as OTCs and non drug products do not have a coded dosage form.
TIP
The keyboard shortcut for toggling the Search OTC Items checkbox is Alt+S.
