The information space is an area on the CCD screen from which you can access patient and script information. It consists of the configurable reference panels section and the Patient History section.
Configurable Reference Panels
The panels in this section are used to show you information related to the patient, stock and drugs that you are prescribing. You can reposition and rearrange the panels in this section as you want. If you only want to reposition the default panels you can do this on the Dispense or Dispensed screens: use the mouse to drag the panels to the required locations.
The panels that are displayed by default are:
- Drug Information
- Notifications
- Patient Summary
- Stock Information
- Drug Interactions
- Allergies & Conditions
- Patient History
If you would like to customise the way your Dispense screen appears, Clear Dispense provides the ability to help organise the way the screen appears; by either removing or adding items of interest on your screen. This way you can include your most used items and remove those that can be accessed from the menus above, when needed.
This customisation of the workspace lets you work more easily while processing scripts and also gives you ability to access information you need more efficiently.
Full configuration of the panels is handled in Pharmacy Settings → Configurable Reference Panels
Patient History
This section of the Dispense screen shows you the full history of the selected patient. The section displays all the previous scripts that have been dispensed for the patient, script numbers, dispensed drugs, their quantities, and prescriber information etc. The first column of the record list contains indicators that show you additional information regarding a script.
If the script that you are dispensing has warnings related to the patient or script or adverse Drug Interactions they are indicated by the affected history records changing colour. The severity of the warning or interaction is indicated by the colour that the record is highlighted in.
Using the search field, Owing, Repeats, and Memos labels, you can search for a specific script or item or filter the records that are displayed. By selecting the filter labels, the patient history can be filtered to show only owing and repeat scripts or scripts with memos. You can use multiple labels simultaneously.
