When dispensing scripts from public hospitals using the Hospital Provider # supply type, the public hospital provider number is collected for inclusion in the claim submitted to Medicare Australia.
The public hospital provider number can be entered for each script along with the other script details. Alternatively, if you have public hospitals amongst the medical institutions stored in Corum Clear Dispense , you can record their public hospital provider numbers in their details. Then, when you dispense Hospital Provider # scripts to patients belonging to those medical institutions, the stored public hospital provider number is automatically provided as the default (you can override it if you want to).
To enter the provider number,
- From the menu bar choose Script → Hospital Provider #.
The Dispense screen is updated with the Hospital Provider # field.
