The Identity tab has the most frequently used information about the Prescriber. This section describes the fields and options available to you to enter Prescriber identity details. The Identity tab contains the following fields:
Prescriber #
The Prescriber # uniquely identifies the prescriber. It is shown in prescriber lists, and on various screens and reports throughout .
The prescriber # is shown:
- Next to the prescriber name on the Dispense screen and Claims screen.
- In Prescriber reports.
NOTE
When adding a new prescriber or editing an existing prescriber’s prescriber code, a warning is displayed if the prescriber code is already used.
TIP
When entering script details, type the prescriber number directly into the Prescriber field and press Enter or Tab to select the prescriber directly.
Prescriber Type(s)
The prescriber type is used to specify the type of prescriber you are creating. Some of the medications that are be dispensed from are dependent on the prescriber’s type specified here. Multiple check boxes can be selected for a single prescriber.
