Corum Clear Dispense 8.1.1 adds support for the Fred8POS.DAT stock transfer file format, which has larger PDE fields that accommodate the new 8 digit Sigma National PDEs.
This may be relevant to you if you are using a Point of Sale system other than Corum LOTS and want to use Sigma National PDEs to identify products dispensed.
NOTE
You only need to change your stock transfer file format to Fred8POS.dat if all of the following apply:
- You are not using LOTS POS direct integration.
- You are using Sigma, and need to use their PDEs to update your Point of Sale system with dispensing usage.
- Your Point of Sale system supports the Fred8POS.dat format.
The PDEs in stock transfer files are used for product matching rather than ordering.
If Sigma is your primary or secondary wholesaler but your Point of Sale system does not yet support Fred8POS.dat, it is likely that you will be able to continue using your existing stock transfer file until it does. Information on how to do this follows. Note that Sigma is no longer updating the old 6 digit PDEs so they will not match products indefinitely and a different wholesaler may be needed for product matching.
If you do not use Sigma, you can also continue to use your existing stock transfer file.
